Making Sense of the “Adsense Videos”

Michael Cheney recently released a product that has taken the internet marketing world by storm. Michael is no newcomer to the net, and indeed has had a highly regarded ebook, The Website Marketing Bible, out for a quite a while. His hot new product is The Adsense Videos.

This is one of the few marketing info products I give a “most excellent” rating to. It applies to all sorts of webmasters and all sorts of sites and not just the Internet Marketing niche.

The main thing is that for most people this is NEW information, and it is presented in easy to follow videos. The techniques work, and the testimonials on the page are no joke. You’ll see a scad of known names. Even if you are making a paltry amount of money with Adsense now, these videos will show you what it takes to ramp up your Adsense income. Endorsements come from a lot of people you know, and a lot of them you won’t. According to some, that disproves the theory that you have to build a lot of sites to make any money from Adsense. Most people will probably still try the quick buck blog farm or Adsense packaged sites approach though. And here’s why. I have a new blogger blog that gets only 100 hits or so a month. It earns me a little over a buck from Adsense every month so far. My traffic is probably 80% from an email signature! The great thing is that this free blog (on blogger like this one) has proven to be a good niche for Adsense clicks. So now I KNOW I have a niche that gets a good rate of click throughs. What happens if I get 300 visitors a day? Now we’re at $100 a month. Hard to do with a free blog but stay with me.

What if I make a keyword SEO optimized site on the subject, and make about 200 pages for the niche. You do this with an article-fetching sitemaker. Now after three months or so I am in MSN and Yahoo but not in Google. So maybe I am getting just 10 visitors a day to each page. Now I’m up to $600 a month. Now I just have to take those 10 visitors per page up to 35, and if the metrics stay the same, there’s the $2,000. All this takes is getting out of the Google sandbox.

But you’re not going to do this with some crappy resale Adsense site that 1,000 other people have bought and put up. You want sticky eyeballs, not some site the looks like Adsense spam to your site visitor.

Now I don’t know what the PR of all of Michael Cheney’s sites is. But I do know that at least one has a PR of 6. So let’s take it that a few more do also. And maybe some are 4’s or 5’s. It really doesn’t matter, cause what counts is that his ads GET EYEBALLS. And then he converts those eyeballs to clicks.

If you’re a rank beginner and not even making any money from Adsense yet, think about this. To make money with Adsense you need eyeballs and content. Generally you need the content first, so the eyeballs don’t just click the back arrow when they get to your site. So get some content on your sites (you are making sites, aren’t you?) When you have that content and are starting to get those eyeballs the time will be right for something like The Adsense Videos, or whatever the successor product is then. You’ll have to make your own decision about whether you want to spend the money now, or later when you can justify the expense.

I think there’s enough synergy in this book to other areas that it is worthwhile for all but total newbies.
