Blogs For Web Site Building

Blogging, Site Building, Strategy No Comments

If learning html programs to build your first web site is just too much trouble for you, then why not consider blogging as a easier way to build your content oriented web site?

You can blog for free at Blogger. Why not give it a try? Get the hang of what’s involved, learn to modify your templates, get into posting, learn about uploading pictures and audio. There is a small learning curve, but nothing like a full blown html editor.

Once you have the hang of it you can get a domain name and a web host and then upload your blogger site. Or if you’re feeling brave, you can use the one click install from the Fantastico suite at this recommended host and install WordPress. Wordpress will easily import your Blogger hosted blog, and you can go to town customizing it.

One of the better WordPress tutorials I know of is free from this link. It will walk you right through the entire WordPress install and also show you how to spiff up your WordPress blog. Guido’s tutorial got me through it when I was a newbie to blogging, and I still refer to it.

WordPress blogs can look great. I ran into Darrel Hawes in a collaborative blogging project we were both involved with, and was impressed with the design and content of his personal blog. It is an example of a great looking blog with good content.

Blogging is fun, and a great way to get your content up and running on the Net.

Dr. Mani’s Warrior Niche Blogging Project

Doing Good, Projects No Comments

Last week I made the commitment to join with Dr. Mani and twenty other bloggers with a niche blogging project. Right now I have about 20 posts, and the good Dr. Mani has us on a forced march type of posting schedule.

All the blogs are keyed to the niche topic of Internet marketing, what else? But each specific blog is a sub niche.  Mine is on email list marketing, what else? The blog is designed (at first) aroundpopular keywords. It should be interesting to see how it pans out. Posting that often can be a chore. Even I run out of things to say.

Dr. mani’s doing this as a thank you to Warrior forum members who participated in promoting his charitable project for children with heart disease.

Whiners and Winners

What separates success from failure in Internet Marketing?

Since all the information anyone needs to succeed on the Internet is available somewhere for free, it can’t be money.

Since the essentials of running an online business, a web host and a domain name, can be had for around $50 to $60 a year, without even shopping very much, it certainly can’t be high start up costs.

If you lurk in the marketing forums, as I sometimes do, you’ll find many lost souls who tried this, then they tried that, and the next thing, and the next real big thing, etc. And they wasted a lot of money doing that.

But if you communicate with these people, as I sometimes do in an effort to help, you’ll find that they never stuck with anything for very long. And that’s the root of their problem. They want instant success.

When they don’t get it they jump ship and go on to the next empty promise. And this process repeats itself until they burn out or wise up. Those are the only two choices. Generally the ones that burn out turn into what I call the Whiners.

The ones that wise up are the Winners. They learn from their mistakes, move on, improve their skill set, and eventually succeed.

A certain amount of failure is going to happen unless you are very lucky, very skilled, or just happen to be friends with one of the massive list gurus. Since none of these three things ever applied to me, I have had my share of failures. But eventually most of these ideas were recycled into something that worked.

If you are one of the whiners, why not become a winner? The easiest way I know to do that is to go back to the basics. Learn or re-learn the real fundamentals to making money online. Get a short course like Holly Mann’s ebook. One of the ways she markets it is “No Thank You Rich Jerk”

Holly has the best general course on making money online that I know of, and you can’t beat the price. Her emphasis is on free and low cost ways to make money online. She gives you those Rich Jerk tactics in a non jerky way and for a fraction of the cost.

Holly is a real person, just like you or me. She doesn’t hide behind cartoon images. She shows you how she did it, and what you need to do to get started making money online. Why not forget about being a whiner and instead start being a winner? Get your copy of Holly’s course by clicking here.

Holly gets the coveted 5 Star Marketing No Brainer recommendation.
