More Blog Posts Equals More Traffic

Blogging, Traffic

For the last month I have been on a blogging crusade. In June I had not been able to post here on a regular schedule, and I was looking for a way to get back into the blogging habit. So I set a goal to post every day for a month. And the sub goal of that was to only post if I had something useful or pertinent to say. And that made my blogging crusade a little more difficult.

Did I reach my “post a day” goal? No. But I did post 23 times in the 30 day period from the July 6 start. And the results were:

  • New subscribers
  • Site visitors up 72% from previous month
  • Broader range of marketing topics covered as I was forced to think and work a bit harder
  • Search Engine Traffic had a large increase
  • Search Engine Crawlers and Spiders visited this site more often

I’m sure there were more benefits. The main thing is that it accomplished the goal I had set to accomplish, rejuvenate the postings here at Marketing No Brainers, while creating some outside interest as well.

So if your site or blug is in a rut, resolve to add some fresh content. Give yourself a deadline. Make sure the content is valuable, and targeted to your readers. And make sure you ping the pinging services when you add new content.

Set your target posting schedule higher than you can comfortably accomplish. You may even make that level of posts. But even if you fall a bit short, you’ll have some measurable improvement in your blogging results. You’ll find, like I did, that more blog posts equals more traffic.
