The Last of the Best Internet Marketing Releases of 2007

Recommendations No Comments

These are in no particular order, and remember I’ve already reviewed some other “best of 2007″ in previous posts this month.

Because I didn’t think much of the original version, you may be surprised that I recommend Rob Benwell’s Blogging to the Bank 2. Rob largely fixed what was wrong with the first version. It’s a great intro to getting started in niche blogging.

Luke Parker’s SureFire Success is a complete course on how to get paid almost immediately for content you develop, and then use that same content for long term income. A great business plan and detailed how-to.

Along the same lines, Matthew Sherbourne’s Cash For Content is another well done and very detailed plan.

Mark Hendrick’s Internet Success System continues to be the best high dollar course on Internet Marketing. Don’t care about those new releases from Armand and Frank Kern. You gotta know the fundamentals.

If you want the basics on getting traffic to your web site, look no further than The Barking Traffic Videos. A best buy.

If you want the skinny on how to really profit in multiple ways from Resell Rights, the Resell Rights BootCamp is excellent. Not one of those crappy ebooks, this course is the real deal.

Bum Marketing needs at least a mention, and this 7 Dollar item will get you started with Bum Marketing.

I’m sure you have a few other picks for the Best Internet Marketing Products of 2007. If so leave a comment.

An Easy Way to Write a PDF eBook

Recommendations No Comments

PDF is the universal eBook format. Forget about using anything else. The problem for eBook writers on a budget has been that Adobe Acrobat is expensive.

For a while I have advised new Internet marketers to either use Open Office or use the PDF Machine . But not everyone wants a new office suite to learn. And the trial version of PDF Machine now puts ads on your pdfs. Ugh.

Just in time eWriterPro has come onto the Internet Marketing scene. Simply described, it is a program that works like any word processor, and then allows you to save your document as a pdf.

It’s as simple as……

  • Write your ebook with e-WriterPro.
  • Insert your graphics And links.
  • If you like, secure your eBooks with a password.

Presto! You Have Your Own Information Product!

eWriterPro has some cool other features as well. You can see the eWriterSales page here.

So my readers always have an affordable path to this resource, I’ve picked up resell rights to this product. I’ll keep this page up at this low price at ClickDen for the forseeable future, and most likely make it the February No Brainer product so that you’ll get resell rights as well.

EWriterPro is the easiest solution for writing your ebooks, or turning any doc file into a pdf.

HubPage Blueprint - Using HubPages for Traffic

Traffic No Comments

David Bullock has happened onto a newer Web 2.0 site called HubPages. com. It is a Squidoo-like site that can get a web site quite a lot of traffic. HubPages also shares revenue with its users.

Let’s take a short break here to define a Web 2.0 site: any site that allows users to generate content. A blog or forum would be examples, as would YouTube, but there are many others.

HubPages is considered an Authority site by Google, and has a PR of 6. So developing web content at HubPages can benefit you in a very direct way: more traffic from a high PR site.

Very recently, David was able to get 10,658 visitors over a six day period using only HubPages as a source. I think we’d all do well to emulate his success. To make it easier for you to get going at HubPages, he released a concise “how-to” report called Hub Blueprint.

Why not piggyback on Dave’s success? His report will get you started at HubPages. First movers with any new method have first advantage.

You can find more info on the Hubpage BluePrint here.

Yogi Berra and Niche Marketing

Strategy No Comments

Yogi Berra taught me this. I may be paraphrasing a bit, but one of the classic yogi-isms is “You can see a lot, just by watching.” What has this got to do with niche web site marketing? Read on….

So I was signing into my Yahoo account this morning, and on the front page of Yahoo was an article about Bulldogs finally making into the top ten most popular dog breeds.

I had a Pit Bull mix (she died from cancer a couple of years ago,) and she was the best dog I’ve had since childhood. So I hooked into the article right away because it meant something to me.

But this article wasn’t talking about mixes, or the crosses that have become so popular, but the classic “English” Bulldog.

As Internet Marketers, how can we use this information?

Well first, it indicates the Bulldog is becoming more popular. So maybe it would be a good niche topic.

And the article says, because of breeding and birth problems, that a new pup might cost as much as $2,800 dollars. So second, we have an affluent market.

Reading the article farther, there was mention of the other top ten dog breeds, in order. So third, we have a list of the top ten popular dog breeds. Now that is useful info to have because dogs are dogs, and what sells to one breed owner will most likely sell to another.

And in general it shows how just the mention of a dog breed will get an interested web browser to read an article. I seldom do anything at Yahoo except sign in to dump my bulk mail, as I primarily use my Yahoo email address for testing how my Aweber emails look there, and if they get delivered to the inbox.

If you want to know the top ten breeds, I’ll save you the trouble of hunting up the article, because by the time you read this the link on Yahoo may have disappeared.

Here are the top ten dog breeds, in order:

Top 10 Dog Breeds

Labrador Retriever
Yorkshire Terrier
German Shepherd
Golden Retriever
Beagle
Boxer
Dachshund
Poodle
Shih Tzu
Bulldog

If that’s not great fodder for niche topics for a web site(s,) I don’t know what is. People and dogs have had a bond for thousands of years, so I don’t think the niche is going to disappear any time soon.

I think you could safely say that this is an “Evergreen” niche.

I’m telling you all this because it is just one of the many ways you can discover a profitable niche to explore and profit from, “just by looking” at things you see every day, but through the eyes of a marketer.

Yeah Yogi was a baseball player, but in the saying above is one of the reasons he was so good at his craft. He saw a lot, just by watching. And he did the unspoken part. He put it to use.

You don’t need to buy a fancy course or a list of niches. You can just do what Yogi Berra did, and see a lot just by watching. So think about potential niche topics with this in mind. Ideas are all around you. it doesn’t have to be so tough.
