Seven Dollar Script Revolutionized Internet Marketing in 2007

Reviews

I’ve decided that I’ll start the series of the best Internet Marketing products of 2007 with what I consider the most influential Internet Marketing product of 2007. Even major marketers started using this script, or a variation of it, to build their lists.

Jon Leger’s The Seven Dollar Secret revolutionized Internet Marketing with its ability to build lists of PAYING customers fast by paying affiliates instantly for their referral. Yes it was buggy at first, and created some customer service issues and a knock from PayPal for actually letting people know they could make money from it. To keep out of trouble with PayPal the resell angle/instant affiliate commission blurb has to NOT be on the sales page. And the current version has been tamed out now, with a new script owner, Don Morris, and an updated, stable version.

The Seven Dollar script also included the ability to add a one time offer. It was a very basic version of some of Mike Filsaime’s Butterfly Marketing ideas for the “little guy.” It unleashed a flurry of infoproducts from new and experienced Internet Marketers, and became generic in its own right.

In just a few months this went from a cutting edge raw marketing tool to the mainstream. Now there are four or five variations of this script idea that do more. Of course they cost more than seven bucks.

A year ago no one knew about this, though a few savvy marketers used the process. Now it’s an essential tool for most info product marketers. I can’t think of anything else that affected so many marketers, in so short a time. (But if you can, you’re welcome to leave a comment.)

I’m calling the Seven Dollar Script THE Internet Marketing Product of 2007.
