Use An Email List To Follow Up With Your Prospects and Customers

List Building No Comments

This is the last element in the No Brainer Marketing Formula: use an email list to follow up with your prospects and customers.

In the vast world of the Internet, your prospects click off your web site on to other sites, never to see your web site offer again. What are you doing about this? Many marketers just do nothing. Wrong! 98 percent of your prospects are vanishing!

By capturing email addresses of both your prospects and customers, you are in control. You have a way to recontact them. You can invite them back to your sales page. You can invite them to related offers. You can contact them over and over until they either unsubscribe or become customers.

Your converting offer is best preceded by an opt in or squeeze page that exists solely to capture the name and email address of the prospect. This is best done by offering them something of real value in exchange for their contact information. Remember, these are targeted prospects (traffic) from the previous formula element. So offer something specifically and tightly targeted to your offer.

When the capture is done, they are sent on to your offer. If they leave the squeeze page without opting in, then you can give them a second chance to subscribe via a popunder or “exit sensor” pop. Or you can just send them on to your offer by the same methods.

If they buy your offer, then move them automatically to your customer list, and take them off your prospect list. Sequential email autoresponder - broadcast services like Aweber have this feature available.

Adding the third element, an email list, to the No Brainer Marketing Formula -

Converting Offer plus Targeted Traffic plus Email List equals Money

or

CO + TT + EL = $$

completes the formula. By testing, tracking, and improving all the formula elements one by one, all the elements will start to work together synergistically to dramatically improve your marketing results.

Get Targeted Traffic

Traffic No Comments

The next step in the No Brainer Marketing Formula is getting targeted traffic.

Here’s a review of the formula -

Converting Offer plus Targeted Traffic plus Email List Equals Money, or

CO + TT + EL = $$.

This post would be pages long if i were to talk about all the ways to get targeted traffic. So instead I will direct you to three resources. The first is free -

Allan Gardyne’s 77 Ways to Get Traffic.

Allan’s report is a bit short on Web 2.0 traffic, so the next low cost resource fills in the blanks.

The Barking Traffic Videos

will walk you right through over a dozen ways to become a traffic maven, with the emphasis on Web 2.0.

While on this topic, coincidentally, just today Rob Toth has released a stunning package on

How To Get More Web Site Visitors.

Rob’s introductory price is a near giveaway, and a huge example of over delivering on a topic.

Applying the information in these three “how to get web site traffic” resources should be enough to keep anyone in traffic. But remember we want targeted traffic. The secrets to that are in the resources themselves.

Two Crucial Factors About Your Offer

Strategy No Comments

In your Offer, besides the usual factors like headlines, testimonials, and guarantees, there are two critical things you need to test, and that your potential buyers need to know:

  • What they’re going to get from you and how they’re going to get it.
  • What they’re going to pay you with and how they’re going to pay you.

In simple terms, the first bullet is your product and product delivery. The second is your payment methods and terms your buyer can choose.

I first learned this from Jim Edwards, and I complicated these factors a bit in the bullets above, as they are verbatim from a recent video of Mike Filsaime, talking about Gary Halbert, that I saw at Rich Schefren’s blog.

This short video clip at Rich Schefren’s blog is about testing your offer, and it’s something we all overlook. Besides testing all the elements of your offer, test the offer itself!

Converting Offers

Strategy No Comments

In the No Brainer Marketing Formula,

CO + TT + EL = $$

a converting offer is the first element. It makes no difference whether the offer is for a physical product, a digital product, an online service, or even just a squeeze page bonus offer to build an email list. Your offer must be something that your targeted traffic (TT) will buy or sign up for.

Of course the ones that don’t buy have a chance to opt in to your email list (EL) for additional chances for you to sell your offer, or other related offers, or both. The money follows.

So how do you know if you have a converting offer? It’s simple, buy some extremely targeted traffic, at least 200 clicks, and see what your conversion is. Or if it is lol. For a cheaper but much slower method, send free targeted traffic to the offer.

After you establish a baseline conversion rate, make changes in the elements of your offer one by one to increase conversion. That’s material for another post however.

I’ve had some of my offers surprise me in their conversion rates. One of the best I ever had was a ten dollar web graphics assortment that converted just over double digits. Sheesh, I should bring that one back!

Over at my ClickDen site there are two offers that do better than all the rest, way better.

They are:

Resell Rights Bootcamp

and

Squidoo Profits

The other offers there do well, but these two have around double the conversion, with sales pages pretty much unchanged from the resell package they came from. Can you tell me why just by looking at them?

I don’t know why they convert better, I just know that they do, by measuring the results of the traffic that’s been sent to the pages. That’s what matters.

Those dollar signs in the No Brainer Marketing formula are what ultimately matters, and having a converting offer at the start means I am getting those dollars with less time and money invested, and that’s the road to bigger profits.
