There’s nothing better for getting to know what’s really going on with your website than delving deep into the statistics you can get through your cpanel, or is there? Yes gentle reader, there is a better way: Google Analytics. Best of all, Google Analytics is free.

But it can be a bit intimidating to figure out what to do in Analytics -

• How do you set up your account?
• How does Google track my site?
• Where do I put the code they give me?

Happily there is a nice (and inexpensive) report that tells you just what to do to get Google Analytics up and running on your website or blog. I liked this report do much I obtained rights to it so I could offer it to my subscribers and readers.

I use Google’s Analytics on an almost daily basis to track what’s going on with this very site. I’ve barely looked at the stats data inside my cpanel since.
