My Social Marketing Experiment Took Traffic Up Thirty Per Cent

Social marketing is the buzz now. But does it work? Here are the July results for my social marketing traffic project for the site you are on right now, Marketing No Brainers. These are straight from my AWStats for July 2008.

Web Site Unique Visitors - Up 35%
Number of Visits - Up 30%
Pages Viewed - Up 20%

In addition, I ran a Google Analytics report last week that showed traffic from all social marketing resources was now 42% of my total traffic. So obviously social marketing works for getting traffic.

I’m delighted to know that such great results were had from something that is essentially fun, as that is how I designed my social marketing traffic project to be. The method I’m using is extremely simple, and I’ll be releasing a free report to all subscribers on the exact how-to in a few days. Michelle MacPhearson has a new social media system for getting links and traffic from Web 2.0 social media sites called Social Media Daily. It’s free from the preceding link. It is a daily task list that’s designed to get you up and running with getting Web 2.0 traffic to your web pages.

Michelle has gotten right to the heart of social media marketing. It’s not Twitter, not Digg, not FaceBook, but any and all of these sites that can bring you traffic. The point is to not rely on any one site, or method for that matter, for getting traffic.

I don’t know why she isn’t charging for this. Michelle MacPhearson’s Social Media Daily is a great free system for amplifying your web traffic from the social media sites.

Kevin Riley vs Jeff Walker

This morning Kevin Riley reminded me that he covered a lot of ground in his Recipe For Driving Heavy Traffic to Your Sales Page.

Since the price is less than ten bucks I think it kinda kicks Jeff Walker’s Product Launch Formula’s butt. And, unlike Jeff’s, Kevin’s course is still available.

It provides great information on using eBay Classifieds, just the thing for disenfranchised digital sellers using eBay. And that’s just one of the many traffic getting methods.

And then there’s the price, not $1997.00, but less than ten bucks.
